How to write a song

First, find what inspires you to write a song, decide your topic. What is the purpose of writing the song. Next, think of adjectives that describe what your song is going to be about. Now, use either a pencil and paper or you can type it on a computer. We are going to write out the lyrics. Usually songs rhyme so think of some words that would go with your title, and find words that rhyme with each lyric ( remember to express yourself in your song). If you want you can find something personal and put it into your song. A song is kind of like a story so try to picture each scene as you are writing your song.

Here are some tips if you are having trouble focusing. A cup of hot cocoa or any other warm drink like tea will help you get calm. Taking breaks in between and going outside will help because it refreshes your memory. Sometimes if you sing what you have wrote will help get into it more. The next step is to find the right tune for the song. Finding the right tune for your song is hard. Think do you want your song to be upbeat and happy, do you want it to be calm soft, or sad depressing, or exciting or amusing and jazzy. I am trying to say to pick a genre of music. Next sit on your couch or on your bed and hum some different tunes once you’ve picked out some tunes record them and listen to them and pick your favorite tune. Now choose your background track there are some apps that can help you with making music tracks. Then put the background music with the with tune and the lyrics.

This next part is really fun once your song comes together you can make a music video. So find the right set or location like if your song is about the beach then film it at the beach. Next, find the right costume that matches the theme and the makeup and hair. Now find the person to record your video. Now you are done writing your song!
