My Summer in 2020

My school ended sometime in June, I was in quarantine so I was kind of bored, but at least I can still play with my sister. I have never had a summer without a trip somewhere but with COVID it was going to be hard. But luckily we were able to still plan some trips this year. We couldn’t fly in a plane because my parents didn't think it was safe for us or others so we drove.

The first fun party we have was on July 4th to celebrate the fourth of July. I went to my friends house for 6 hours! She is my BFF and we have been in the same “bubble” since COVID started so it was safe to go as its always just me, her and my sister. The first road trip we took was to check out Mt. Hood. It was a 4 hour drive! We went with my moms cousin (who is also in our bubble along with her husband), and we had a lot of “junk food” snacks so my kid sister was living her best dream, lol! After around 2 hours we went to a restaurant for lunch. Once we arrived at the vacation cabin/lodge we were able to play in their really big yard and there was a really big upstairs and downstairs. A couple days after we went home I told my dad that I had a lot of fun so he planned a second trip. We went to a cabin in Mt. Baker, It had nice rooms, and lots of fun toys. A lot of my friends asked me which lodge I preferred but I can’t really choose, but if I had to I would choose the first lodge because we could run around in the HUGE yard. Towards the end of the summer we went to Idaho to celebrate my parents anniversary. We stayed at this nice hotel and we had a lot of fun!

Although I couldn’t travel much this summer there are people who have had a really bad year so I know I am very lucky to have had this many nice experiences with my family. I am also very glad we are all healthy.

I finally allowed commenting so you can share ideas for me for my next blog!
